The brand was founded in 1971 by Massimo Ostì, who initially chose the name of Chester Perry, later abbreviated in a more elegant way to CP Company. What made the brand immediately recognizable was the peculiar and pop communication conceived by the founder Ostì, as a graphic designer. Furthermore, what made the brand innovative was the 'garment dyeing', that is the particular technique that allowed the garment to be dyed once finished, without having to assemble the garments with already dyed fabrics.
